Our Story
What had started as a small trailer insurance program in Mount Forest, Ontario has now grown into one of Canada’s fastest-growing recreational insurance brands serving thousands of Canadians. We began with a simple belief: Canadians deserve insurance that understands their recreational lifestyle – not generic policies that treat your trailer like a car or your cottage like a city home.
Today, we’re proud to protect recreational dreams across Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, serving thousands of customers who trust us to safeguard what matters most to them.
Our Mission
Life is better when you’re off the clock. We exist to protect the vehicles, properties, and adventures that bring joy to Canadian families. Whether it’s a weekend at the cottage, a cross-country RV adventure, or a day on the water, we believe your recreational lifestyle deserves insurance that truly gets it.
Our mission is simple: make recreational insurance fast, affordable, and actually make sense – so you can focus on creating memories, not worrying about coverage gaps.
Who is RecProtect?
RecProtect operates through two specialized channels to serve all Canadians:

RecProtect Insurance Services Inc. (RIS)
Our broker-agent channel was formed to meet growing demand from insurance professionals seeking comprehensive recreational coverage for their clients. With our user-friendly platform, responsive underwriting team, and competitive pricing and commission rates, RIS partners with brokers across Canada providing niche recreational insurance.
RecProtect is underwritten by Germania Mutual Insurance (Ontario) and Four Points Insurance Company Ltd., a subsidiary of the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of British Columbia (Western Provinces).
